This plugins adds the official Tweet Button from Twitter. It lets your users share links directly from the page they’re on. When they click on the Tweet Button, a Tweet box will appear — pre-populated with a shortened link that points to the item that they’re sharing.
You can customize the twitter button form the WP Tweet Settings screen under the Settings menu.
Download WP Tweet:
Install WP Tweet:
- Use the Plugin Installer and search for WP Tweet or Extract the zip file and upload
wp-tweetto the/wp-content/plugins/directory. - Activate the plugin from the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.

I love this functionality and was excited to get it added to my blog. The only issue I am having is that, if viewing posts on my home page, the button grabs the right headline (e.g. the headline for the post where the button resides) but only the home page URL. Is there a way to set it to point to the specific post’s permalink instead?
BTW: Thanks for the CSS customization option – I like the ability to put the button exactly where I want it.

Great plugin, thank you. I also can’t wait until the home page link is fixed.
Another thing I would ADORE is if it could integrate YOURLS so the shortened urls use my own domain rather than a 3rd party.
